Mary Van Vacter Nursing Scholarship

The Mary Van Vacter Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in 1990 by her daughter, Dale Angers, retired Major in the U.S. Army, to provide an opportunity for today’s women to pursue a career in nursing. Although Mary did not have the opportunity to pursue any formal nursing education, she did use every learning opportunity available to her so that she could care for the sick in her family and in the community.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

• Junior
• Minimum 2.75 GPA
• Pursuing a nursing major
• Submit two letters of reference
• Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits)
• Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
