Dr. Claude Spinosa President Scholarship in Geological Sciences

The Dr. Claude Spinosa President Scholarship in Geological Sciences is funded by several alumni of the Department of Geosciences in honor of professor emeritus Dr. Claude Spinosa, one of the founding members of the Department of Geosciences at Boise State University. This $6,500 scholarship will be awarded to one undergraduate in the BS Geosciences (Hydrology, Geology, Geophysics or Secondary Education) program.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

• Full-time enrollment (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Geological Sciences major

To be considered for this award you will need to provide the following:

• Required Essay: In one or two pages, please describe your academic and career goals and your contributions to the Department of Geosciences community.
• Required letter of recommendation from one faculty member in the Department of Geosciences at Boise State.
