Nahid S. Hasnain Scholarship for Underprivileged Students
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- Preference to first-generation students
- Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)
- Submit an essay demonstrating obstacles in completing an education or challenges experienced which have delayed academic pursuits
- Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Pursuing one of the following majors: Music; Art, Design and Visual Studies; Theatre, Film, and Creative Writing; Anthropology; Communication and Media; English; History; Philosophy; Sociology; Psychology; and World Languages. Majors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on arts, humanities, and social sciences are also eligible.

- Upload an essay no longer than two pages describing how you are overcoming obstacles to complete your education or challenges delaying your academic pursuits. Additionally, if you pay out of state tuition (non-resident students), have you considered pursuing Idaho residency? Please upload as a single Word or PDF document (8 MB max file size) using your name and Boise State student ID number as the filename. Do not use any special characters in the file name including periods, hyphens, apostrophes, etc. You should also include your full name and Boise State student ID number on the header of each page.
