The Intercollegiate Knights Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Foster care experience
  • Undergraduate or Graduate
  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)
  • Preference will be given to participants in the Impact Scholars program for former foster youth
  • Demonstrate financial need per the federal financial aid rules. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Applicants are required to answer the following questions:

  1. Do you have experience being in foster care?
  2. What barriers/challenges have impacted your academic and personal success thus far?
  3. How would receiving these scholarship dollars and having a mentor impact your success?

Please write a brief essay answering the following questions: 1) What barriers/challenges have impacted your academic and personal success thus far? 2) How would receiving these scholarship dollars and having a mentor impact your success? Please upload as a single Word or PDF document (8 MB max file size) using your name and Boise State student ID number as the filename. To save as PDF: For Microsoft users: From Word document click File, Save As, and then click PDF or XPS. For Mac users: Choose print, click on PDF in the bottom-left of the Print menu and Save as PDF.
