John H. & Florence P. Schaertl Archaeology Scholarship
In 1992 the John and Florence Schaertl Archaeology Scholarship in archaeology was established in support of students pursuing a career in archaeology. As co-founders of the Idaho Archaeological Society, the Schaertl’s had long supported anthropology at Boise State University.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- Intend to pursue a career in archeology
- Enrolled in at least 1 credit each semester of the award
- Departments / Colleges
- Department of Anthropology
- Supplemental Questions
- Please provide a statement (up to 500 words) outlining 1) your interest in the field of archaeology 2) your intention to pursue a career in archeology 3) list any qualifications and relevant achievements. Please upload as a single Word or PDF document (8 MB max file size) using your name and Boise State student ID number as the filename. Do not use any special characters in the file name including periods, hyphens, apostrophes, etc. You should also include your full name and Boise State student ID number on the header of each page.
