John McKay Youngsman Engineering Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Pursing either a Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, or Engineering major
  • Preference to non-traditional, socioeconomically disadvantaged, and first-generation in one’s family to attend college
  • Plan to enroll either part-time (6 undergraduate credits; 5 graduate credits) or full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)
  • Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

To apply, students need to submit an essay discussing their commitment to completing degree, include how applicant and how scholarship will help them fulfill their education.

  1. Submit a brief statement demonstrating your commitment to complete your degree, including how you meet the scholarship criteria and how the scholarship will help you fulfill your education.
