The Ted Hopfenbeck Criminal Justice Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Junior, Senior or Graduate
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Pursing a criminal justice major
  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)

In addition, students must have completed at least 45 credit hours from Boise State with a total of 90+ credit hours (senior standing) by the end of Spring semester. Students must be involved in extracurricular activities: criminal justice organizations, student government, and/or significant volunteer work.

  1. Please indicate if you have been involved in outside activities: criminal justice student organizations, student government, and/or significant volunteer work (Field Work/Internships do not count as outside activities).
  2. Please attach an essay (minimum 5 pages, double spaced with one inch margins) addressing your career plans and accomplishments. Outline your accomplishments and plans to make yourself a competitive candidate for a position in your desired career. (Submission of an application shall constitute the student's permission to have the screening committee check any claims made by the student.)
