Ted Hopfenbeck Criminal Justice Scholarship

The deadline for this scholarship is October 27, 2021, at 9:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Late applications will not be considered.

The Ted Hopfenbeck Criminal Justice Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Junior, Senior or Graduate
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Pursing a criminal justice major
  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits; 9 graduate credits)

In addition, students must have completed at least 45 credit hours from Boise State with a total of 90+ credit hours (senior standing) by the end of Spring semester. Students must be involved in extracurricular activities: criminal justice organizations, student government, and/or significant volunteer work.

  1. Please indicate if you have been involved in outside activities such as student organizations or volunteer opportunities; and intend to pursue a career in the criminal justice field.
  2. Please attach an essay (1-2 pages, double spaced with one inch margins) addressing your career plans and preparation. (Submission of an application shall constitute the student's permission to have the screening committee check any claims made by the student.)
