Jill Hella Student Teacher Scholarship

The Jill Hella Student Teacher Scholarship was established in 2018. Jill Hella graduated in 2004 from Boise State University’s Masters of Curriculum and Instruction Secondary Certification program in the College of Education. Upon graduation, Jill worked in the public education sector in Idaho for over ten years in the instructional areas of English as a New Language and in Spanish. After leaving the classroom, Jill’s career path led her to a position at Boise State University where she worked closely with the College of Education and various public education entities such as many of Idaho’s school districts, the State Department of Education, environmental education organizations and others in an effort to coordinate and deliver rich offerings of teacher professional education opportunities to teachers across the state of Idaho. While her career path has since taken her out of the formal education realm, the invaluable knowledge Jill obtained throughout her education, time in the classroom and during her work with teachers, has continued to enrich Jill’s professional career. As an active and well-respected Realtor in the Treasure Valley, Jill utilizes her pedagogical expertise to ensure that she strategically approaches each client in a manner in which they can best learn and retain the information she is sharing with them throughout the entire learning process. Jill considers it her great honor to help in furthering Boise State University’s mission and to encourage others to support Boise State University.
