Shurtleff-Young, Cheryl Art Scholarship

The Cheryl Shurtleff-Young Art Scholarship was established in 2016. The donor is establishing this scholarship at the recommendation of Action and Jaqueline Jackson, the creators of the John William Jackson Fund, in the name of Boise State graduate and art professor Cheryl Shurtleff-Young. Cheryl passed away in Sept 2015 after teaching art at Boise State for 36 years. She was a beloved teacher who provided inspiration to countless students, especially women.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
  • Upper Division declared Art Major in College of Arts & Sciences
