Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Scholarships Application

If you are pursuing a Chemistry and Biochemistry degree and want to be considered for Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry scholarships you must complete this scholarship application.

Requirements:
Must be an degree-seeking student pursuing a degree in Chemistry. In order to receive an award you must be enroll as a full-time student (12 undergraduate credits) and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Scholarships awards are competitive. Some awards are also based on demonstrated financial need. To be considered for any need-based awards, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the appropriate year.

Steps

  1. Submit your Academic Advisement Report (AAR) if you are a continuing Boise State student or an unofficial transcript if you are a new or transfer student.
  2. Attach a resume listing your high school or university chemistry-related activities, honors and past scholarships.
  3. Attach a brief essay including your career goals and how a Chemistry and Biochemistry scholarship will assist you in meeting your goals.

Please upload all documents as a single word or PDF document (8 MB max file size). Make sure to name the document with your name. The name of the file cannot contain any special characters. Please make sure your full name and student ID number are on the header of each page.

The Hibbs Family Scholarship in Chemistry
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits)
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
  • Pursuing a Chemistry major
  • Demonstrate financial need per the federal financial aid rules. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Chemistry Memorial Scholarship
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Pursing a Chemistry major

Joseph Spulnik Scholarship
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Senior
  • Pursuing a Chemistry major
  • Demonstrate financial need per the federal financial aid rules. We can determine your financial need by the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Schimpf Chemistry Scholarship
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Pursuing a Chemistry major
  • Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your free application of federal student aid (FAFSA).

Frank Stark Family Scholarship
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Plan to enroll full-time (12 undergraduate credits, 9 graduate credits)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Pursuing a Chemistry major

Chemistry/Biochemistry Department Award
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
