Bette R. Joy Teacher Scholarship
The Bette R. Joy Scholarship was established in 2010. Bette graduated from Boise State earning her teaching degree in Elementary Education and later her Masters Degree in Literacy. She worked in the Boise School District and later moved to Oregon where she was a volunteer in the reading program at elementary schools. This scholarship was created through Bette’s trust specifically for the benefit of mothers who are striving to become teachers but have little or no financial support.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Pursuing a Teaching major
- Plan to enroll at least part-time (6 undergraduate credits, 5 graduate credits)
- Demonstrate financial need. We can determine your financial need by the results of your free application of federal student aid (FAFSA).
