William H. and Gladys E. Langroise Scholarship Fund: A program for achieving excellence
The William H. and Gladys E. Langroise Scholarship Fund: A program for achieving excellence was established in 1989 by the late Gladys Langroise in honor of her late husband William Langroise. After graduating from law school in 1921 William served on the staff of the U.S. District Court judge in Boise and as assistant U.S. district attorney from 1922 to 1931. In 1931 William began his own law firm in Boise known today as Langroise, Sullivan and Smylie. Gladys Langroise spent many years being active in politics. She knew Franklin Roosevelt, John Kennedy, Sam Rayburn, Averell Harriman, and Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson. Gladys was very involved with the Boise Philharmonic, Boise Art Museum and the Boise Opera Guild. She received and award from the Boise Chamber of Commerce for her distinguished community service.
