Ted Trueblood Scholarship
The Ted Trueblood Scholarship was established in 1982 in honor of the late Ted Trueblood. Trueblood was one of America’s most popular outdoor writers. He was an editor for ‘Field and Stream’ magazine, ‘Varsity’ magazine, and the Rod and Gun Department of ‘Elks’ magazine. Trueblood was very active in the conservation of fish, wildlife and habitat. He helped establish the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and was part of Save Our Public Lands, Inc. which was organized to protect public access to public lands. In recognition of these efforts, he was awarded the BSU President’s Award for Western Life and Letters.
