Reed Penning Memorial Scholarship
The Reed Penning Memorial Scholarship was established in 1989 in honor of the late Reed Penning. Reed started as a warehouseman at Intermountain Gas in 1958 and by the time of his death in 1989 had worked his way up to the role of executive vice president. During his time with Intermountain Gas he served as president of IGI Resources and IGC Production Co. He also served as chairman of the Gas Supply Committee of the Pacific Coast Gas Association. He was considered a leader and pioneer in the gas supply and distribution industry. Reed will be remembered for his special wit, exceptional sense of humor, and his unique way of living life to the fullest.
