Mary Ellen Callanan Literature Scholarship

The Mary Ellen Callanan Literature Scholarship was established in 2011. Mary Ellen had a lifelong love of reading and spent countless hours reading to all of her grandchildren who also share her love of books. Additionally, Mary Ellen and her husband, Dr. Joseph Callanan, had a great relationship with Bishop Kelly High School and for these reasons the Mary Ellen Callanan Literature Scholarship was established to honor her passion for reading and to provide scholarships for incoming freshmen who intend to major in English Literature.
