Lorene Dahlberg Memorial Scholarship for Literacy

The Lorene Dahlberg Memorial Scholarship was established in2012. Lorene was born in Salem, Oregon, graduating from Cascade High School (Turner, Oregon) before earning her bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University and completing her master’s degree in education at BSU in 1978. For 35 years, her teaching skills along with high expectations and determination touched the lives of many students in the Boise Public Schools, Meade School District (Spokane, Wash.) and Cascade School District (Turner, Oregon). After retirement, Lorene enjoyed working on their 53-acre farm, growing ginseng, grass seed, vegetable and performing other duties needed on the farm.
