Lonnie L. Willis English Scholarship

The Lonnie L. Willis English Scholarship was established in 2004 by Lonnie Willis, a distinguished faculty member and emeriti. Lonnie passed away in May 2014. Willis’ career spans the era of greatest change and development in the University and the English department. This scholarship will make it possible for students to continue the tradition of excellence he exemplifies by attracting and rewarding thoughtful, creative students who make significant contributions to the intellectual life of the department and the community.
