Hallett/Alumni/Accounting Endowed Scholarship
The Hallett/Alumni/Accounting Endowed Scholarship was established in 2003 by Charles Hallett and family. Charles received his degree in accounting from Boise State University in 1977. In 2002, Chuck was awarded the BSU Distinguished Alumni Award and in 2001 received the College of Business and Economics Honors Award. He has been a member of the Federal Taxation Committee in both Washington and Idaho, belonged to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Subcommittees in: Trust, Estate & Gift Taxation, Corporations & Shareholders Taxation, Partnership taxation, and Employee Benefits Taxation. Chuck also participates in various forms of public speaking around the country. For many years he has either led or planned the Annual Income Tax Update for the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants Olympia Chapter. He has been a Board Member and Past President of many civic and not for profit organizations, co-hosted a television series on financial matters and was also named as an Outstanding Young Man of America.
