Frances Woods Education Scholarship

The Frances Woods Education Scholarship was established in 2002 in honor of the late Frances Woods. Frances began her teaching career in Lawrence County South Dakota at rural schools. She then moved on to teach first grade in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. In 1946 she moved to Boise with her mother and began teaching the first grade at both Garfield and Lincoln Schools. Frances was a member of Alpha chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, Preceptor Laureate Alpha of Beta Sigma Phi, and Boise Retired Teachers.
