Ernest & Carol Hoidal Alumni Business Scholarship

The Ernest & Carol Hoidal Alumni Business Scholarship was established in 2001. Because of their strong belief in the importance of scholarships, Carol and Ernest Hoidal created the Alumni Business Scholarship. It is one of four scholarships they have created at Boise State. Ernie Hoidal attended Boise College (later Boise State College) for two years before earning a bachelor’s degree in international business at University of San Francisco. He later earned a law degree. Now a Boise attorney, Hoidal specializes in general practice and immigration law and has been an adjunct lecturer in legal studies at Boise State since 1985. Carol Hoidal is a former Alumni Association president and recipient of an alumni service award. Mr. Hoidal has said, “Carol and I feel fortunate to have been involved at Boise State and are thrilled to see how it has progressed in both academics and athletics. There is no higher responsibility for any community or state government than to provide educational opportunities for everyone.”
