Dargatz Student Teaching Scholarship
The Dargatz Student Teaching Scholarship was established in 1991 by Barbara and Robert Dargatz. Barbara started her teaching career at Boise High School and then helped open both Borah and Capital High Schools. Eventually, Barbara and Robert decided to move to Hailey where she taught in the schools and served as principal of the junior high school for three years. Barbara was awarded the 1974 State Teacher of the Year Award. After retiring, Barbara was approached by a friend who was attending ISU who asked Barbara to be her student teaching advisor. She agreed and then continued on to help other friends in the same capacity.
