Brian J. Bergquist Student Leadership Scholarship

The Brian J. Bergquist Student Leadership Scholarship was established in 1998 in honor of the late Brian Bergquist. Brian served as the assistant director of auxiliary services and coordinator of conference services for the Boise State Student Union at the time of his death. Brian was a man of many interests and abilities, but above all, he was competent and caring. His talent for critical thinking moved him into positions of leadership early in his life, and most notably on the Boise State campus and in the community. It was the intent of Bergquist’s family that the scholarship serve as a permanent tribute to his quietly effective leadership style, a reminder of his determination both to assist and to motivate those with whom he came in contact.
